Hawaiian Creation Adventures is a Christian company providing Maui tours and accommodations, and is owned and operated by Marc and Aly Hodges. We are a kama’aina Hawaiian family with four generations in the Islands. We welcome all people to the lovely Island of Maui. We love meeting and making friends with travelers from all over the world and sharing about our amazing home of Hawaii.
We particularly enjoy sharing about the amazing creatures, landscapes, and cultures of Hawaii; and God who made them.
Marc earned his Bachelor’s in Wildlife Biology and has published in population biology and genetics of Hawaiian stream fauna. He has done significant work in natural resource science and management for international, federal, state and private clients. He was the first state manager for Hawaii’s largest main islands marine reserve. His scientific testimony has been relied on by the Hawaii Supreme Court.
Aly holds a Bachelor’s in Marine Biology and a Master’s in Marine Science. She helped build the Maui Ocean Center, worked as a professional diver in its shark tank, has monitored Hawaiian reef populations and published on hermaphroditism in coral reef fishes.
After working as scientists steeped in evolutionary theory for many years, we were saved through Jesus Christ. We witnessed miracles and experienced the consistent power of God’s Word. We discovered that God is indeed reliable. We decided to reject evolution and accept on faith that He created the world just as He says He did in the Bible.
Convicted by the Holy Spirit, Aly closed her successful real estate appraisal business to homeschool our three children. Together, we decided to apply our scientific training and lifetimes of Hawaii experience to start Hawaiian Creation Adventures. Our goal is to help visitors to Maui have fun while growing in the grace and knowledge of the beauty, intricacy, and intent of God’s creation and through this experience to grow closer to Him.
Do I have to be a Christian to participate in tours, activities or accommodations provided by Hawaiian Creation Adventures?
Certainly not! Everyone is warmly welcomed. We love meeting and sharing with people of all backgrounds and all beliefs. We have been blessed to have gotten to meet and to get to know so many guests from so many different backgrounds over our years of working in the visitor industry in the Islands. We have found that everyone has a story, a perspective, an insight to share with us. The very best thing about Hawaii is the people, those who live here and those who come to visit.
